I am so upset that this product didn't work out as well as i had hoped. I used them to mount a 10 in x10 in cork square and it was all under the maximum weight. I followed all the directions and it still didn't work. It stuck very firmly to the porous cork but not my sightly textured wall. Its a great idea, but it would be nice if it worked.

I have an old house with plaster walls. These worked great until the Spring came and we opened the windows. We we awakened one night by a crashing sound. A couple of our pictures crashed to the floor. The change in temerature/humidity in our house caused them to come off the wall.
I would not recommend hanging anything valuable with any of these products. I love the idea, but this has happened to us more than once.

Refills for a product that works January 19, 2007

These adhesive strips are the refills for the 3M reusable hooks, model 17001CS (ASIN: B00006IBLK, among others). What can I say? They work.
The hooks go on easily and support the rated load, as you'd expect. The real surprise is that the adhesive comes off as cleanly as promised, on the ordinary painted surfaces I've tried. Although the hook is reusable, the adhesive strip isn't - and that's where these replacement strips come in. I'm happy, and coming back for more.
