These hooks are great. They are pretty and so easy to put up and take down without putting holes in the wall. I love all these 3M Command products. Have these hooks in the bathroom and bedrooms, the little tiny hooks in the kitchen, and the toothbrush holder in the bathroom.

i purchased these since I just moved into a new apartment and did not want to drill towel hooks or a towel bar into the bathroom tile. These really do work exactly as they say they will. They went up on the tiled wall in a matter of a minute and have been securely holding our oversized bath towels for over a year without moving a millimeter. Very impressed and the price here on Amazon.com was the best deal on the internet.

I LOVE Command strips- so I was a little disappointed when my hook (that I was using to hang a houserobe) fell off the wall more than once (after following the instructions both times). The robe was under 5lbs, but probably around 4lbs- so I just hang a lighter robe on this, and my heavier one on a sturdier hook.
These hooks stay put if used right, and look fantastic!

The product itself is great. I used them last year to hang our stockings on the wall. The brushed nickel finish is very pretty (much better than the plastic one) and they came off just fine with no damage to the wall. The only issue I have with them is that now that I want to put them up again, I am having a difficult time finding a store that sells just the adhesive part. I am not going to buy all new hooks. I paid more for the pretty ones because I wanted to be able to use them again. Luckily Amazon has the replacement adhesives, but it would be nice to be able to get them in the store where I purchased the hooks originally.

Mounting requires mating the adhesive strip to the hook, which is pretty straightforward. For those of you who expect this metal version to be rock steady when stuck on the wall, note that the plastic piece that actually gets mounted to the wall is snapped into the metal shell. This allows the metal to slide up for removal, but also means there is a little play. However, if you didn't do the mounting, you probably wouldn't notice.
Once I got past the unusual shape I found the bulbous hook worked pretty well on the bathroom door. I haven't tried removing it to see if it comes clean from the door--which is a big part of the 3M Command story.
amazon.com, you could sell me a lot more of this 3M Command range if you showed pictures of the actual product not obscured by the packaging. I can't for the life of me tell what the Modern Reflection and COP style hooks look like. Also, these are pricey, so offer me multiples at a better unit price. And finally, large, medium, and small hook descriptions mean nothing to me. How about some actual dimensions? The back plate of this large hook is 4-1/8" high x 1-3/4" wide.
