1 out of 5 stars Steamer   March 8, 2010
KSkeber (Arizona)
This is short and sweet. I bought this and used it once before handing it off to my Husband because I thought I was doing something wrong with it. This steamer never got very hot at all! Certainly not hot enough to kill any bacteria, which is what I got it for in the 1st place. To use in the bathroom, kitchen... just like you see on TV. This "steamer" just didn't steam. I could put my hand right in front of the nozzle and it barely felt warm. Sorry, but keep looking! There is a reason it is under $25.

4 out of 5 stars fun to use...   March 2, 2010

I bought this because the prospect of doing a really thorough job of cleaning the tiles in my bathroom with all the built up soapscum and some mold was depressing me, I knew it would take several days and lots of elbow grease. I thought this little gadget would make the job easier. A friend of mine told me he found one in a thrift store-- a different brand, the Shark. I investigated. The shark is twice as expensive, and this one seemed to get better reviews. So I took a chance. Make no mistake, you will need a cleaning agent and lots of rags and paper towels. I used scrubbing bubbles and scrubby sponges. The heat from the steamer really loosens up the dirt and after I rinsed all my tiles, I used windex on them and now they sparkle. Oh most of the attachments are a joke, I just use the long nozzle and the curved tip is good too. I threw the rest away, now it all fits into the box it came in. Also, I'm afraid of spiders, even the little yellow common house spiders. I can't wait to blast the next one that comes crawling into my apartment!

4 out of 5 stars Great little steamer   February 26, 2010

Ordered this steamer and received in less than 48 hours! Tried it as soon as I received it and loved it. Comes with many attachments and easy to understand instructions. Cleaned around my bathroom faucet and could not believe the gunk it cleaned out without any chemicals. Great little steamer for the price. Only gave 4 stars due to the steam does lose power after so long so you want to do the toughest jobs first. This steamer was recomended by my mom and I would definately pass along the word!!

3 out of 5 stars somewhat happy   February 23, 2010

This works great on some messes such as dry toothpaste in the sink and soap gunk in the soap dish. Doesn't do a good job on the stainless steel sink. Using lime away is way faster and easier. It was fun to use, so I cleaned a bunch of stuff I wouldn't normally try cleaning. Be careful of the tip, it's metal and gets very hot, I burned my finger. Also be really careful when adding more water, it steams all over the place and burned my hand. Keep small kids back, the water splattered a lot when adding more to it. The tank itsn't very big, so you have to keep refilling it, that was a pain.

1 out of 5 stars doesn't work for me   February 22, 2010

I saw this and ordered it. Delivery was quick. I tried it over the weekend in my kitchen and I must say it did not impress me at all. It did not clean the grease off the stove hood. Next I tried to see if it would take off the baked on stove top rings...even using cleaner it did not work.
I am disappointed but it is not worth returning so will probably put in a yard sale this spring.
