5 out of 5 stars Busted Ducks Rejoice...   July 1, 2010

I was trying to hold my head up, but I knowed they uz talkin. "There she goes, lookit her...shouldn't be allowed out amongst the decent folk..." It was all over town. I was the woman what got herself the busted duck. Oh sure, in the big cities you kin git away with it. They might even think it was cool, damn innterlekshuls. All of 'em is on crack anyway, not Oxy like the lord intended. Anyhow, I didn't just break that duck and sit there lookin' stupit at it. I tried fixin it. I stapled the darn thing, but I shoulda reckoned on it turning out bad. And glue weren't no use, it just wore off and first time the duck went back in the pond. I was fishin it out half the night. Never did find t'other leg and had to sacrifice a dinner fork. Now the critter was wobblin' not waddlin', which ain't nature's way, and for some reason got the Baptists riled up even worse than they was at the outset. So here I was, a blemish on the town, and a fork footed duck trailing me everywhere with a accusing look in its eye. I figured it was never gonna get better and was resigned to my fate when a big red truck goes tearing past me last week out by the Number 8 road where it switches off into the holler. Something come hurtlin' off the back and nearly hits me in the eye. The good one. I look and what do you think it was. Duck Tape. I almost spit. I did spit. Hell, I'm spitting now. Course I already heard a Scotch tape, and we did do some mending on that English feller, which was close as we could come, but it didn't do him no good. Anyway, the duck is right there, givin' me the stink eye still, so I grabs him, I grabs the tape, and five minutes later, that duck is fixed and water-tight. Tried him out in the pond and he come out all in one. And life has changed. I am now known as the woman what fixed her busted duck, which is a considerable rise. Just wish we'd known about this stuff with that poor English feller.

4 out of 5 stars Good match for Reflectix Radiant Barrier   February 23, 2010
Nylo (Virginia)
I've been using this tape for my Reflectix (heat reflecting bubble wrap) insulation projects.

It cuts cleanly and the adhesive is strong. It's appearance is very close to the Reflectix itself, and makes good hinges for swinging panel pieces and covers.

It also makes an excellent edge treatment for panels made from the styrofoam/mylar radiant heat barrier material.

3 out of 5 stars Poster Hanger   September 14, 2009

This tape works well for sticking things to things. I use it for sticking posters to my dorm wall. Sometimes they fall down however which can be very annoying when you are sleeping at night. I could just use more tape, however this would be quite spendy considering the price of this stuff. It works very well for sealing a small hole over something. I would recommend it to someone who has never used it though. A very ingenious product.

4 out of 5 stars fun for all ages!   August 15, 2009

This tape is perfect for (quack!) "duck" tape art and though it is slightly less sturdy than the regular old silver stuff, it is easier to tear off if you don't have scissors handy. My family has a rainbow of colors and the kids have gone crazy making saddles for toy horses, a raincoat for the cat, and even some very lovely roses. (The secret is to cover a wooden skewer with green for the stem, then layer on petals and leaves.) Duct tape is great for making hats, jewelry, wallets, purses, and even prom attire! Just google "stuck at the prom" for some stunning examples! And oh yes, it's good for patching stuff up too. We used it on a soft car-top storage bag that was torn apart by the wind, and it held up all the way from New Jersey to Florida beautifully.
